Our Policies

We’re committed to serving you and your dog well. We want you to understand what to expect from us, and what we expect of you. Please take a moment to read through our terms of service. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask your trainer or email info@forcefreedc.com. 

Rates

  • The rates for our services are subject to change. If they do, we’ll let you know with advance notice in writing.

  • Rates are subject to applicable taxes.

Payments and Invoicing

  • Direct ACH debit is our preferred method of payment.

  • By signing your service agreement, you consent to auto-debiting of your bank account or credit card.

  • Past due invoices for completed services are charged on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday of each week.

  • A method of payment must be on file in the Time to Pet app before your first date of service.

  • If your invoice is 15 days or more past due, we’ll need to stop service until your account is paid in full.

  • Any invoice that remains unpaid after 30 days will be charged a 15% compounding late fee on the outstanding balance every 30 days while the balance remains unpaid.

Hours of Operation and Availability of Services

  • Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m to 6 p.m. 

  • We’re closed on federal holidays.

  • We follow the Office of Personnel Management for closures related to weather and special events; if the federal government is closed, we’re closed, too.

  • Some services, such as private dog training lessons and group classes, are offered during extended hours and on weekends, at the discretion of the trainer.

Liability

Force Free DC isn’t responsible for any damage to our customers’ property, nor are we responsible for vet bills or client utility bills.

Vaccinations 

Your dog must be current on their vaccinations for rabies, Bordetella, distemper, and parvovirus for the duration of our time working together. 

Communication

We want to answer your questions and see pics of your pup being awesome. But please don’t contact your trainer via their personal phone numbers or social media accounts. 

Instead, we use an app called Time to Pet, and it’s great for staying connected. You can also contact your trainer through their Force Free DC email address or email info@forcefreedc.com at any time.  

Scheduling

  • Private lessons are scheduled with your trainer for an agreed-upon time and location.

  • If your dog has been onboarded for Training Walks or Small Group Play and Train you can schedule them through your Time to Pet account.

  • Training walks have a 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. service window.

Cancellation and Refunds

  • We don’t issue refunds or credits for unused training sessions on a package.

  • We also don’t issue refunds for completed training services and virtual meet and greets.

  • We charge a $30 cancellation fee for last-minute (48 hours in advance) cancellations.

Additional Fees

  • Private lessons that require the trainer to travel outside of our service area (DC and surrounding areas in MD and VA) are subject to a dog training travel fee.

  • Private lessons that require the use of a second trainer are subject to a dog training assistant fee.

  • Private lessons that are scheduled on the weekend are subject to a weekend private lesson fee.

Packages

  • Training packages (excluding the maintenance packages) expire within 3 months of the first scheduled lesson.

  • Maintenance lessons under the maintenance packages are limited to once a month.

Referrals and Right to Refuse Service

  • We may refer your dog to another provider if your dog is deemed unsafe or will benefit from seeing a specialist.

  • Force Free DC staff have the sole discretion and may deem a pet unfit to be serviced. 

  • Force Free DC reserves the right to stop services for any reason.
